About MBN

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is an Arabic-language multimedia news outlet that provides critical analysis and context of news to audiences across the Middle East and North Africa. It is funded by the U.S. Congress, through appropriations to the United States Agency for Global Media [and has a yearly budget of $100 million].

Launched in 2004, MBN serves as America’s voice in the region and the authoritative media outlet to explain U.S. policy, along with insights and unique coverage of America and the American people. MBN highlights untold stories of human rights, religious tolerance and corruption. The media outlet is a vital counterweight to disinformation produced by China, Iran and Russia in the Arabic media.
