Privacy Policy

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks believes that internet users have the right to personal privacy, free access to information without surveillance, and unrestricted browsing of the web. Our mission is to deliver the best possible news service online. In doing so, we collect aggregate statistical data that helps us measure audience size and usage patterns across our websites and mobile applications.

The purpose of this data collection is to determine how many people visit our platforms, where they are located, and which pages they view. This process does not allow us to identify you personally. Rather, it only indicates that a device with a specific number has connected to our server. The software we use to generate these reports relies on a browser feature called “cookies,” which tracks the pages viewed during a session. These cookies are randomly generated at the start of each visit and are deleted once the user exits. The reports derived from this process are used exclusively to enhance our websites and apps, ensuring a higher-quality experience for our audience based on their reading and viewing preferences.

We also collect data on the use of our mobile applications. This helps us better understand how people engage with our apps, which content they consume, where they access it from, and which types of devices they use. Importantly, we do not receive or store any information that personally identifies you or your device.

The statistical data collected through our applications is never shared outside of the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (“MBN”), which operates all Alhurra platforms, and its funder. Personal identifying information voluntarily provided by users who create individual accounts is never shared with third parties.

MBN is a non-profit organization. It does not accept advertising and does not sell products. We retain statistical information only as long as needed to comply with legal obligations and/or to protect our interests or those of others. Personal identifying information voluntarily provided by users is retained only for as long as the associated account remains active.
